What we do
Duro provides hands-on engineering training for beginners getting started in tech to professionals advancing to the next level, and everyone in between.
Why we do what we do
Today, the United States is experiencing a shortage of job-ready professionals in STEM fields. This is a result of too few high school students pursuing STEM-track majors in college and a lack of the hands-on experience desired by employers among these graduates. Duro Workforce provides cutting-edge training to help bridge the gap between academia and the workforce, and to help professionals further advance in their careers.
Duro Workforce is proud to be a partner of companies, schools and organizations dedicated to education and workforce development, including:
- Duro UAS – Corporate Affiliate: An underwater drone manufacturer focusing on environmental and urban development applications
- Advanced Robotics Manufacturing (ARM) Institute – Industry Partner: A collaboration between the Department of Defense (DoD), Carnegie Mellon University and companies and universities in 30 states to train 510,000 engineers for advanced manufacturing jobs
- New York City Department of Education (NYCDOE) – Teacher & Student Training Partner: The largest school district in the US with nearly 1 million students enrolled, NYCDOE is considered a national leader in career technical education (CTE)
- The City College of New York (CCNY) – Student Training Partner: CCNY is the flagship of the 22 college CUNY system, its primary engineering college and the alma mater of 10 Nobel Prize winners
